The Happy Returns has a moose backbone for a central mask with smiling eyes, waves of flowing abrstract paint, a walrus, two seals, beads and feathers to highlight and accent.

This is a first subject, 1st of its kind, using a moose back bone. Native people believed that every part of the animal, even down to the cleaning of meat particles would please the animals. Animals would go back to Ellam Yua to let him know that they were treated well by humans, and asked permission to celebrate life again at their next dance festival.

The festival was the time of renewing and the rekindling of family and relatives.
