  • Here, Jumping Jack is dancing his best to out tease his cousins during dance festivals.  It was a joyful event filled with humor and laughter.

Two or more villages gathered to celebrate with Ellam Yua (Person of the Heavens or the Universe) to thank him for all the gifts of living resources on his lands and waters.

The bounties of harvest and gathering was shared among the participants, the elders, widows and to those unable to hunt.

After the celebration, the animals would return to Ellam Yua. They would report that the humans showed love and respect to each other and shared their food. They would ask his permission to return through their hunting, fishing, and gathering to celebrate at another festival.  Ellarpiim Yua being pleased gave the fish and wildlife permission to celebrate life with humans again. Some masks with hands had holes in them. Meaning Ellam Yua had control of all the resources. He would begin to close his hands when man became greedy and selfish.
