Mosquito Dance IV

  • Mosquitoes in Alaska are a menace in the summer. They will fight with their lives to get to every exposed skin, and sometimes stinging right through your shirt. They are very relentless. Yup'ik and Cup'ik(g) of western Alaska have danced imitating the comical annoyance one experiences trying to swat the little buggers off and pretending to scratch during dance festivals.
