The People’s Artist competition is a rare opportunity for artists to showcase their work on a national stage and compete for a significant $25,000 award. It’s more than a contest — it’s a platform designed to elevate artists, offering visibility, recognition, and meaningful support for creative careers.
I took the time to verify the legitimacy of the competition, and it is indeed a real event, structured to raise funds for the sponsoring organization while highlighting artists from across the country.
In the previous round, I placed in the Top 10 for Mixed Media, and there are still six rounds ahead. This is a highly competitive program with participants from all over the nation. Some of you may have received an email from me earlier — I accidentally deleted that message, so I’m reaching out again.
Voting is open to everyone and can be cast once per day. As mentioned before, I’ll be giving special gifts to those who donated, as well as selecting seven people who voted for free, regardless of whether I win. There is absolutely no obligation to donate — a few people have, and I appreciate them — but in my opinion, donations are not necessary because the competition is extremely competitive on its own.

I'm really enjoying the Yup'ik-designed dance feather logos on the coffee mugs you recently sent, reminding me of the many dance performances I attended over the years at Yukon & Kuskokwim river villages in SW Alaska. Quyana!
